Venturini Motorsports is one of the most successful and respected organizations in stock car racing, with roots that trace back seven decades to the humble beginnings of family patriarch Tony Venturini in Chicago, Illinois. Tony’s passion for racing began on the local tracks of the Midwest, including Soldier Field, where he competed against many of the sport’s future stars and instilled a love of motorsports in his family that would span generations.

That foundation was carried forward by his son, Bill Venturini, who became a two-time ARCA champion and, together with his wife, Cathy Venturini, founded Venturini Motorsports in 1982. The family-built operation quickly earned a reputation for hard work, innovation, and competitive excellence. Cathy further made history by creating the pioneering Ultra Blue Crew, one of the first all-female pit crews in professional stock car racing.

Under the leadership of the next generation, Billy Venturini, the organization grew into the premier driver-development team (Toyota Gazoo Racing) in ARCA competition. Over the decades, Venturini Motorsports helped launch the careers of numerous future NASCAR stars while capturing championships, race victories, and industry-wide respect.

Tony Venturini

Tony Venturini was an American stock car racer from the Chicago area who competed in regional racing during the mid-20th century. He is best known as the patriarch of the Venturini racing family and as an early influence on his son, Bill Venturini, a two-time ARCA champion and founder of Venturini Motorsports. Tony began racing at Chicago’s historic Soldier Field and competed against notable drivers of his era, including Fred Lorenzen and Tom Pistone. His passion for racing helped establish a family legacy that became one of the most successful and enduring programs in ARCA stock car racing.

Bill Venturini

Bill Venturini is a two-time ARCA champion, and founder of Venturini Motorsports. A native of Chicago, Venturini—known throughout racing as “Big Bill”—won the ARCA championships in 1987 and 1991 and earned ARCA Rookie of the Year honors in 1983. Venturini, the fastest driver in ARCA history, holds the all-time speed qualifying record at Talladega Superspeedway with a lap of 205.432 mph. During his driving career, he made 188 ARCA starts, recording 12 victories, and competed in NASCAR’s top-3 national series.

Billy Venturini

Billy Venturini is a former driver and racing executive best known for transforming the family-owned Venturini Motorsports, into one of the most successful driver-development teams in NASCAR history. Under Billy’s leadership the team partnered with Toyota Gazoo Racing and helped launch the careers of many of today’s current NASCAR stars. became ARCA’s all-time winningest team. The son of two-time ARCA champion Bill Venturini, Billy competed in 161 ARCA races between 1994 and 2007, earning one series victory and numerous top-ten finishes. 

After retiring from full-time driving, Venturini helped build Venturini Motorsports into a premier development program for young racers, guiding the careers of future NASCAR stars such as Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney, Christopher Bell, Jesse Love, and Corey Heim to name a few. Under his leadership, the organization became the winningest and most influential teams in ARCA competition.

Cathy Venturini

Cathy Venturini is a pioneering motorsports executive, team owner, and the founder of the groundbreaking Ultra Blue Crew, one of the first all-female pit crews in professional stock car racing. Alongside her husband, Bill Venturini, she helped build Venturini Motorsports into one of the most successful organizations in ARCA history. In 1986, Cathy organized and led the Ultra Blue Crew, creating new opportunities for women in a traditionally male-dominated sport. Serving as crew chief, she guided the team as it helped power Bill Venturini to the 1987 ARCA championship, proving that talent and teamwork transcend gender barriers.

Throughout her career, Cathy has played a vital role in the growth and success of Venturini Motorsports, helping develop generations of drivers and contributing to one of stock car racing’s most respected family legacies. Her leadership with the Ultra Blue Crew remains a landmark achievement in motorsports history and an inspiration for women pursuing careers in racing.

Wendy Venturini is an award-winning motorsports broadcaster, reporter, and television personality known for her extensive coverage of NASCAR and other major racing series. The daughter of ARCA champion and team owner Bill Venturini and Cathy Venturini, she grew up immersed in racing and built a distinguished media career covering the sport from the pit lane and broadcast booth. Wendy has worked with major networks including FOX Sports and PRN (Performance Racing Network), earning a reputation for insightful reporting, driver interviews, and in-depth race coverage.
